Arar Hosts ‘Basta Khair Saudi Arabia’ Initiative to Support Cottage Industries, Boost Local Economy

Arar: The 'Basta Khair Saudi Arabia' initiative launched today at Al-Nakheel Park in Arar, organized by Northern Borders Region Municipality in cooperation with the Social Development Bank in Arar. The event will continue until the end of Ramadan.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event witnessed the participation of more than 30 families working in the cottage industry, who presented popular dishes that are traditionally served at Ramadan tables. Dedicated booths were allocated to showcase their local products, alongside live demonstrations of traditional handicrafts and artistic and heritage performances highlighting the national identity and folk traditions of Northern Borders Region. The event also featured a range of entertainment programs designed to help children develop their skills, offering visitors a comprehensive and engaging experience.

The initiative aims to support and empower street vendors and families by providing a well-organized and safe environment to display their products. It contributes to boosting the local economy, expanding employment opportunities, and promoting a culture of self-employment and entrepreneurship.
