ARCO Secretary-General Highlights Impact of Water and Sanitation Project on Displaced Families in Somalia

Mogadishu: Secretary-General of the Arab Red Crescent and Red Cross Organization (ARCO) Abdullah Al-Muhaidli emphasized that the water and environmental sanitation support project in camps for displaced individuals in Somalia has significantly improved the living and health conditions of thousands of displaced families.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the project handover ceremony, Al-Muhaidli highlighted the project's role as an effective model of organized humanitarian work. Since its inception, the project has enhanced access to safe water services and improved environmental sanitation practices, thereby positively impacting public health, preventing diseases, and improving the quality of life in displacement camps.

He credited the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center for its generous support, noting its ongoing role in supporting humanitarian initiatives globally and exemplifying the humanitarian values of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He praised the distinguished field efforts by ARCO and its local partner, which ensured the project's success and direct benefits to displaced individuals.
