Riyadh: Planet Venus continues its brilliant appearance in the evening sky during August 2026, standing out as the most prominent celestial body visible to the naked eye after sunset. Head of the Jeddah Astronomy Society Majed Abu Zahrah said Venus reaches a magnitude of approximately -3.9, making it the brightest object in the sky after the Sun and the Moon, and easily distinguished as a bright white point of light that does not flicker.
According to Saudi Press Agency, August will also feature conjunctions between the Moon and Venus, with the best viewing time toward the western horizon away from light sources.
