Bahrain Condemns Drone Attack Targeting the Kingdom’s Security from Iraqi Airspace

Riyadh: The Kingdom of Bahrain expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation of the heinous terrorist attack targeting the security and stability of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia using three drones launched from Iraqi airspace.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Bahrain described the attack as a dangerous escalation that threatens regional security and stability, a flagrant violation of the principles of good neighborliness and international law, and a breach of UN Security Council Resolution 2817.

In a statement, Bahrain's Ministry of Foreign Affairs affirmed the Kingdom's full solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to safeguard its sovereignty, security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents.

The ministry also praised the efficiency and vigilance of the Saudi air defenses in intercepting and destroying the drones.

The ministry affirmed Bahrain's position on the need for the Republic of Iraq to take immediate and decisive measures to hold accountable all those involved in these criminal and terrorist acts, and to prevent the use of its territory or airspace to carry out hostile acts targeting the security and stability of the countries of the region and their peoples.
