Riyadh: The General Directorate of Border Guard today concluded its maritime safety awareness exhibition, which promoted safe practices and drowning prevention, in Jizan city.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the exhibition highlighted regulations and guidelines for beachgoers, penalties for swimming in unauthorized areas, and essential safety measures to follow when going out to sea. It also highlighted the directorate's search-and-rescue efforts and stressed the importance of ensuring that marine vessels are safe before setting sail.
The General Directorate of Border Guard urged beachgoers and those heading out to sea to follow safety instructions and guidelines and to call 911 in the Makkah, Madinah, and Eastern regions, or 994 in the rest of the Kingdom, in case of an emergency.
