Jazan: Border Guard land patrols in the Ad-Dair sector of the Jazan region have successfully apprehended six Ethiopian nationals for violating the border security system. The individuals were caught attempting to smuggle 260 kilograms of the narcotic qat plant into the region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, initial legal procedures have been completed against the detained individuals. Both the accused and the seized narcotics have been handed over to the competent authorities for further action. This arrest is part of ongoing efforts to curb smuggling activities and ensure border security in the region.
The security authorities have urged citizens and residents to report any information regarding drug smuggling or related activities.
