Riyadh: The CEO of the Quality of Life Program Center, Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Bakr, participated in a dialogue session at the Misk Global Forum 2024. He discussed the transformative advancements in quality of life in Saudi Arabia since the launch of Vision 2030. The session also highlighted the vision's role in empowering youth and helping them achieve their ambitions. According to Saudi Press Agency, Al-Bakr underscored the remarkable progress achieved under Vision 2030, emphasizing the collaborative efforts of government entities in fostering a quality of life centered on human well-being and youth engagement to enhance societal vitality. He highlighted milestones achieved well ahead of schedule, such as the Vision 2030 target for tourist visits. Originally set for 100 million by 2030, this target was met in 2023, thanks to the efforts of the Ministry of Tourism and the Saudi Tourism Authority. This success led to an upward revision of the 2030 target to 150 million tourist visits. Al-Bakr also pointed to another achievement: the inclusion of eight Saudi sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2024, meeting the Vision 2030 goal six years early. These accomplishments reflect the program's contributions to the Kingdom's broader development objectives.
