Riyadh: Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University (PNU), through its College of Education and Human Development and in collaboration with the General Department of Early Childhood of the General Education Agency at the Ministry of Education, launched the Childhood Thrives in 2030 Conference today. The event, held under the patronage of Minister of Education Yousef Al-Benyan, was attended by education sector leaders, representatives from Saudi institutions and organizations, and childhood development specialists. The conference took place at the university's headquarters.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the program features three panel discussions, six specialized workshops, and interactive sessions designed for parents, educators, and specialists to explore modern tools and technologies that support child development in the digital age. Participants will also learn methods to discover talents and raise awareness of children's educational rights.
Additionally, the conference includes meetings with experts in education, technology, and mental health to discuss strategies, policies, and visions that can enhance children's quality of life at governmental and institutional levels.
The event showcases interactive pavilions, a scientific poster exhibition, displays of innovative educational tools, and an accompanying exhibition highlighting early childhood educational activities. It also emphasizes initiatives from relevant authorities to promote childcare, development, and a safe and sustainable environment for children.
The conference aligns with His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister's Child Protection in Cyberspace (CPC) initiative and reflects the College of Education and Human Development's commitment to achieving the goals of PNU's 2025 Strategic Plan. Through this conference, the university seeks to foster a supportive and comprehensive environment for childhood and human development, advance academic and research excellence, build effective partnerships that serve children, and implement innovative community initiatives that help prepare a conscious generation for a vibrant and prosperous future.
