Manama: The General Council for Islamic Banks and Financial Institutions (CIBAFI), part of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), will participate in the Islamic Finance Dialogue at the Bahrain Institute of Banking and Finance (BIBF) on December 7, 2025. The event, titled "Markets in Motion: Advancing Islamic Banking, Treasury and Capital Markets," is hosted by the London Stock Exchange Group and the BIBF. It aims to gather Islamic banks, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities from OIC member states.
According to Saudi Press Agency, this year marks the 50th anniversary of Islamic finance, which has evolved into a global financial system. The sector has witnessed significant growth, with assets reaching $5.98 trillion in 2024 and sukuk issuance surpassing $1 trillion.
The dialogue will feature sessions on key topics, including Islamic banking trends, smart treasury solutions, and the evolution of Islamic capital markets. These sessions are set to provide participants with valuable insights and networking opportunities.
