Civil Defense to Test Warning Systems in Riyadh, Tabuk, and Makkah Regions

Riyadh: The General Directorate of Civil Defense is set to conduct a fixed siren test tomorrow, targeting the regions of Riyadh, Tabuk, and Makkah. This exercise aims to verify the efficiency and readiness of the warning systems and will align with a nationwide test of the National Early Warning Platform through cellular broadcasting.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the fixed siren test will be conducted in specific governorates, including Diriyah, Al-Kharj, and Al-Dilam in the Riyadh Region; all governorates within the Tabuk Region; and the governorates of Jeddah and Thuwal in the Makkah Region.

The initiative seeks to boost community awareness and prepare residents to respond effectively to official emergency alerts. The schedule for the tests involves broadcasting warning messages with a new tone at 1:00 p.m., followed by the national alert tone at 1:10 p.m. The fixed sirens will then sound in the designated areas at 1:15 p.m.
