Coalition Supports Yemeni Government Against Houthi Coup

Riyadh:The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition continues to support the legitimate Yemeni government and armed forces in their efforts to restore the state and end the Houthi coup. Major General Turki Al-Malki, the official spokesperson for the Coalition, emphasized the ongoing operational support provided to Yemen.

According to Saudi Press Agency, tThe Coalition criticized the Houthi Militia for committing violent acts against the Yemeni people, including blockades, forced displacements, and resource looting. These actions have caused significant suffering and disrupted the social fabric of Yemeni society. The Houthis have also been accused of recruiting child soldiers and targeting tribal leaders.

Additionally, the Coalition highlighted the Houthi Militia's aggressive actions against Saudi Arabia, including attacks on key cities such as Riyadh and attempts to target religious sites in Makkah and Madinah. The Houthis have also targeted Saudi vessels in the Red Sea, prompting the Coalition to take necessary measures to protect regional security.

Saudi Arabia asserts its right to defend its sovereignty and security, pledging to continue its efforts alongside Yemen until the Houthi threat is neutralized. The Coalition aims to restore Yemeni state institutions and ensure the security of maritime navigation, which is vital for international trade and global economic stability.
