Coffee Cultivation in Aseer Strengthens Agriculture and Local Economy

Aseer: Coffee cultivation in Aseer Region has undergone a significant transformation in recent years, positioning Saudi coffee as a promising economic crop and a driver of sustainable development.

According to Saudi Press Agency, recent indicators point to substantial agricultural expansion, with more than 7,000 hectares targeted for cultivation in the Aseer mountains. Coffee farms have expanded across 14 governorates, doubling the number of farms to more than 1,400 within three years.

Coffee production recorded strong cumulative growth between 2022 and 2025, with more than 634,000 trees planted. This resulted in the production of 1,500 tons of coffee cherries and over 500 tons of green coffee, reflecting improved agricultural practices.

Social impact indicators showed that 95 volunteers contributed a total of 20,545 hours to agricultural, environmental, awareness, logistical, and documentation activities, creating a lasting impact on the local community.
