Comet ‘Lemmon’ Appears in Qassim Night Sky

Qassim: The Noor Astronomy Association in Qassim Region has observed Comet C/2025 A6 Lemmon, which appeared faint after sunset with a brightness near fourth magnitude. It is visible to the naked eye from clear, dark skies as a pale point toward the northwest, while visual aids reveal its distinctive color and short tail.

According to Saudi Press Agency, President of the association Issa Al-Ghafili noted that Comet Lemmon is named after the Mount Lemmon Survey in Arizona, USA, with the numbers preceding the name indicating its type and date of discovery.
