Makkah: The Ministry of Commerce conducted 42,791 inspection and supply-monitoring tours of commercial establishments and retail outlets across Makkah and Madinah regions during the month of Dhu Al-Qadah. According to Saudi Press Agency, these tours are a core component of its proactive monitoring plan for the 1447 AH Hajj season. The efforts aim to ensure the ample availability of essential goods, provide viable consumer alternatives, and strengthen the readiness of local markets to meet the diverse needs of pilgrims.

The monitoring campaigns targeted retail centers, central and public markets, and gold and jewelry shops. Inspectors verified the abundant supply of food and consumer commodities, enforced compliance with commercial regulations, and ensured the provision of high-quality services to pilgrims.

Field teams also monitored price transparency and verified the legitimacy of discounts and promotional offers.

The ministry affirmed its commitment to intensifying inspection tours throughout the Hajj season to maintain regulatory compliance and safeguard the consumer experience for visiting pilgrims.
