‘Craftsmen’ Event to Kick Off in Makkah’s Hira District on Saturday

Makkah: The 'Craftsmen' event, organized by Hira Cultural District in cooperation with the Heritage Commission, will open next Saturday, November 22, in the Hira district of Makkah. The event aims to highlight local craft heritage and showcase the creative contributions of artisans within a vibrant cultural setting.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event will feature a variety of craft experiences that introduce visitors to traditional techniques, offering them the opportunity to watch artisans practice their skills live and interact directly with them. The five-day event will include a handicrafts zone, live craft demonstrations, workshops for young artisans, a heritage theater, winter seating areas, a children's play area, henna painting, competitions, prizes, traditional food, and interactive games.

By providing a space for direct engagement with visitors, the event seeks to raise awareness of the importance of traditional crafts and their role in preserving the Kingdom's cultural identity.
