Riyadh: The King Abdulaziz Foundation for Research and Archives (Darah) has launched the Visiting Researcher Program, designed to enable researchers from within and outside the Kingdom to conduct high-quality studies utilizing the foundation's research resources and specialized expertise.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the program is open to researchers affiliated with academic, research, or archival institutions, including faculty members, graduate students, and specialists in related fields. It offers two tracks: local visiting researcher and international visiting researcher.
Applications for the program's first session are now open via the dedicated online form. A second session will commence in July 2026, and the program will continue to be held twice annually.
Participants in the program will benefit from access to a dedicated research workspace, historical sources and materials, general academic guidance, and opportunities to attend seminars and events related to their research topics. This supportive academic environment enables researchers to conduct studies focused on national history and contributes to the production of high-quality scholarly work.
The launch of the program reflects Darah's commitment to promoting scientific research, expanding research partnerships both locally and internationally, and providing researchers with access to reliable knowledge sources. By supporting research in national history, the program reinforces the foundation's role as a national reference for historical and knowledge documentation and advances the goals of the Kingdom's Vision 2030 in culture, research, and innovation.
Darah invites researchers and interested individuals to visit the program's dedicated page.
