Seoul: Director General of Public Security Lt. Gen. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Bassami led the Kingdom's delegation to the International Police Summit (IPS 2025), held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, from October 21 to 24. The event was organized by the Korean National Police Agency.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the summit is one of the world's leading gatherings focused on security and law enforcement, bringing together police and security chiefs, representatives of international organizations, security experts, and research institutions. The discussions centered on emerging security challenges, transnational crime, cybersecurity, digital transformation, and the role of technology in modern policing.
Summit sessions explored key themes, including building international police alliances to combat cross-border crime, shaping the future of policing amid the rise of artificial intelligence, and advancing global police governance. The event also featured bilateral meetings, specialized workshops, and an accompanying security exhibition highlighting the latest innovations in law enforcement technology.
