Accra:Eastern Region Air defenses successfully intercepted a drone targeting the Shaybah field, a facility of Saudi Aramco, located in the Eastern Region. The incident occurred on the morning of October 21, 2026, and resulted in a fire affecting a contractor's vehicle outside the facility's perimeter, without impacting the operations at the site.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the attempted attack led to the tragic deaths of two residents, one Filipino and one Nepali, and left two others injured, including one Pakistani and one Indian. The competent authorities responded promptly and have taken the necessary measures following the incident.
