Efficient Infrastructure Management Shapes Smooth Hajj Season at Holy Sites

Riyadh: Amid the influx of millions of pilgrims to the holy sites, attention is centered on the readiness of health and service systems to ensure a safe and smooth Hajj season, alongside major development projects led by Kidana Development Company across Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Mina Emergency Hospital has been expanded, doubling its capacity to 400 beds over 18,000 square meters through the addition of three floors and an annex, strengthening its ability to handle seasonal emergencies.

Kidana also enhanced pilgrim mobility infrastructure by installing 74 escalators linking Mina camps with key routes, including 10 added this Hajj season, easing movement and reducing physical strain.

Development projects also enhanced the urban landscape and visual environment through the upgrading of 51,750 square meters in Muzdalifah, using modern architectural and organizational solutions to improve the field experience for pilgrims.

These efforts reflect ongoing development across the holy sites, reinforcing health, transport, and operational systems to support large-scale crowd management during Hajj.
