Egypt’s Mufti Condemns Attempt to Target Makkah

Cairo: Grand Mufti of Egypt Dr. Nazir Ayad condemned the attempt to target Makkah, stressing that endangering the Holy City is deeply distressing given the sanctity and reverence Allah Almighty has bestowed upon Makkah and its firmly established place in the faith and hearts of Muslims.

According to Saudi Press Agency, in a statement issued today, he underscored that the security of the Holy City, the Two Holy Mosques, and those visiting them is a responsibility that transcends political and geographical considerations and requires everyone to respect the sanctity of the place, safeguard its security, and refrain from exposing it or those visiting it to any form of danger or terror. He noted that harming the Holy City does not target a place alone, but also affects the feelings of Muslims in all parts of the world.
