Esports World Cup Foundation Official: Tournament a Global Platform Born in Riyadh

Riyadh: Esports World Cup Foundation Chief Product Officer Faisal bin Homran affirmed that expanding the Esports World Cup to Paris was a natural extension of the success achieved during its initial two editions in Riyadh.

According to Saudi Press Agency, bin Homran noted that while the Riyadh tournaments established strong engagement with Saudi and Arab audiences, the Paris edition allows the foundation to connect with European fans and broaden its global reach.

Bin Homran stated that Paris was selected for its advanced infrastructure and proven track record in hosting major international events. He emphasized that players and fans remain the core of the project, highlighting that the current edition features over 2,000 players representing more than 200 clubs from 100 countries.

Preparations are already underway for the 2027 edition as organizers continue to develop the tournament using insights gained from different host cities, audiences, and players.
