Formula One drivers have been sounding off about the dawdling Aston Martin safety car at last Sunday’s Australian Grand Prix, with reigning champion Max Verstappen calling it “as slow as a turtle.” The specially-adapted Aston Martin Vantage is fitted with a 4.0-litre V8 turbocharged engine with 510 horsepower. The big green sports car took over safety car duties in Australia after a new Mercedes-Benz AMG safety car had been used at previous F1 races in Bahrain and Saudi Arabia.
