Mecca: Female volunteer teams affiliated with the Presidency of Religious Affairs at the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque have begun their fieldwork at the Grand Mosque as part of volunteer programs for the 1447 AH Hajj season.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the teams aim to enhance religious awareness and enrichment services for women pilgrims amid the high operational activity at the Grand Mosque during Hajj. The volunteers perform several field tasks in women's prayer areas, including interpretation, guidance, introducing religious services, and providing reliable religious content in several languages. They also assist women pilgrims in using technical services and interactive screens inside the Grand Mosque.
Additionally, the teams support organizational efforts in women's prayer areas through guidance and directions, raising awareness of available services, and directing women pilgrims to benefit from the enrichment initiatives offered by the presidency. These initiatives reflect the presidency's efforts to promote institutional volunteer work, empower qualified Saudi women to serve pilgrims, and invest in human capabilities in translation, awareness, and field services.
They also support the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 by promoting a culture of volunteering, increasing community participation, and enriching the pilgrim experience during the Hajj season.
