Buraidah: Under the patronage of Governor of Qassim Region Prince Dr. Faisal bin Mishaal bin Saud bin Abdulaziz, the first National Forum for Rural Tourism Award is set to launch tomorrow in Buraidah. The two-day event will be held at King Khalid Cultural Center.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the forum will bring together specialists and pioneers in tourism and rural development to highlight best practices and promote investment opportunities in sustainable tourism.
The program includes scientific sessions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing dialogues addressing rural tourism development, investment in rural projects, and successful national experiences. Discussions will also focus on tourism sustainability, empowering local communities, and highlighting the Rural Award's role in encouraging innovative initiatives and recognizing outstanding models.
The forum holds particular significance given the Qassim Region's pioneering rural tourism programs, which have diversified tourism products, empowered local communities, and transformed natural and agricultural resources into promising development and economic opportunities, thereby strengthening the region's position on the national tourism map.
