Floods in Uttar Pradesh Claim 81 Lives

Riyadh:Uttar Pradesh The death toll from the floods caused by heavy rains in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh has now reached 81, as reported by the government disaster management agency.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Uttar Pradesh, which is the most populous state in India with over 240 million residents, is currently experiencing its annual monsoon season that spans from June to September, bringing rains and thunderstorms.

The Relief Commissioner Office's report highlighted the extensive damage caused by the floods, with more than 2,200 homes affected and 81 hectares of agricultural land damaged.
