Foreign Affairs Vice Minister Attends 70th Anniversary Celebration of Saudi-Japanese Diplomatic Relations

Riyadh: On behalf of Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Waleed Elkhereiji yesterday attended the celebration marking the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Japan, held in Riyadh.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Elkhereiji praised the longstanding and distinguished relations between the two countries, which date back to 1955, noting that their close cooperation contributes to regional and global stability and prosperity.

He affirmed that the ongoing efforts between the two friendly nations can advance their partnership to a new phase, highlighting the Saudi-Japanese Vision 2030 as a key framework for transforming bilateral cooperation across various sectors into a comprehensive strategic partnership.

Elkhereiji concluded by expressing the Kingdom's aspiration to further strengthen and expand its ties with Japan, in line with the shared vision of the leadership and peoples of both nations for continued growth, progress, and prosperity.
