Foreign Minister Endorses Peace Initiative at World Economic Forum

Davos: Minister of Foreign Affairs Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah signed the founding charter of the Board of Peace today, in the presence of President Donald Trump of the United States and leaders from several countries. The signing occurred during the board's launch ceremony at the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the foreign minister's endorsement of the charter aligns with the peace efforts spearheaded by the US president. This action underscores the Kingdom's commitment to supporting the Board of Peace's mission as a transitional body aimed at resolving the conflict in the Gaza Strip, in line with UN Security Council Resolution No. 2803. It also signifies backing for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip and the pursuit of a fair and enduring peace, which seeks to enhance security and stability for the region's nations and populations.
