Riyadh:Officials from the General Court of Audit (GCA) engaged in a virtual meeting with their counterparts at the Netherlands Court of Audit to share expertise and experiences in financial and performance auditing. The meeting also focused on exploring channels for bilateral cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the GCA provided an overview of its methodologies and tools for conducting audits, aligning with international standards set by the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI) and other relevant bodies. Additionally, the GCA discussed measures adopted to align with Saudi Arabia's shift to an accrual-based accounting system.
In turn, the Netherlands Court of Audit presented its roles in financial audits, outlining principles for audit planning, policy evaluation, and advisory functions.
This meeting is part of continuous efforts to enhance relationships between the GCA and other supreme audit institutions globally, promoting the exchange of expertise and best practices in accounting, auditing, and professional standards.
