GCC Interconnection Authority Engages in Energy Dialogue at World Future Energy Summit

Abu Dhabi: The Gulf Cooperation Council Interconnection Authority (GCCIA) participated in the World Future Energy Summit, a key event of Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week 2025, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre.

According to Saudi Press Agency, during the Energy Summit 2025, CEO of GCCIA Eng. Ahmed Al-Ebrahim addressed the theme of regulatory and policy frameworks. He discussed the strength of global energy interconnection, key regulatory and policy aspects to accelerate the growth of international electrical interconnection, success stories from existing interconnection projects, international collaboration for developing a roadmap for energy interconnection, and the role of regional and international organizations in shaping the regulatory landscape for energy interconnection.

The dialogue included senior officials and CEOs, with the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week Dialogues designed to inspire and drive global action toward sustainability.
