GCC Secretary-General Denounces Houthi Attacks on Saudi Airports

Jazan:Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi has strongly condemned the attacks by the Houthi militia on King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Jazan and Najran International Airport in Saudi Arabia.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi stated that these attacks on airports and civilian infrastructure represent a dangerous escalation and violate international laws and norms, posing a direct threat to civilian safety and aviation.

He highlighted that the Houthi militia's ongoing attacks on civilian and critical installations in Saudi Arabia demonstrate an aggressive stance and disregard for international law and humanitarian law.

Albudaiwi emphasized the need for the international community to take responsibility, adopt a decisive stance against these attacks, and hold the perpetrators accountable to stop these systematic terrorist practices that threaten regional security and international air navigation.

The secretary-general reaffirmed that GCC member states are united in supporting Saudi Arabia and its efforts to protect its security, stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its people.
