GCC Secretary-General: Gulf Youth are the Fundamental Pillar of the Region’s National Visions

Riyadh: On the occasion of Gulf Youth Day, observed annually on June 6, Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary-General Jasem Albudaiwi affirmed that Gulf youth are the fundamental pillar in building the future of the GCC states and achieving their national visions. He highlighted their clear imprints on the region's comprehensive development march, noting that this annual occasion serves as an important milestone to celebrate their vital roles across all fields.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi stated that GCC leaders place paramount importance on empowering the younger generation. This commitment is demonstrated through the adoption of regulations, resolutions, policies, and strategic initiatives designed to hone their skills, enhance their capabilities, and prepare them to tackle challenges and seize opportunities across various developmental sectors.

Furthermore, the General Secretariat continues to sustain joint Gulf action within the youth sector by strengthening coordination among member states, exchanging expertise, and organizing programs that build capacity. These efforts focus on encouraging innovation, entrepreneurship, and community participation, reflecting the council's leadership keenness to invest in this vital demographic for sustainable development.
