GCC Secretary-General Highlights Saudi Arabia’s Leadership in Mining at Future Minerals Forum

Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Albudaiwi participated in the fifth Ministerial Roundtable of the Future Minerals Forum (FMF), hosted and organized by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources. The event saw the participation of a distinguished assembly of global decision-makers and industry leaders.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Albudaiwi expressed his appreciation for the pioneering role the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has taken in advancing the mining sector through strategic initiatives and the hosting of this prestigious international forum. He stated that these efforts reflect Saudi Arabia's commitment to reinforcing the status of minerals as a fundamental pillar of economic development and a key driver of economic diversification.

He further added that the GCC member states are placing an increasing strategic focus on the minerals and mining industry. They recognize its promising potential to catalyze economic growth, bolster industrial security, and ensure the optimal utilization of natural resources.
