St. petersburg: General Authority for Competition CEO Dr. Fahad Alshathri participated in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF) in Russia, which attracted numerous business leaders, competition authorities, and international experts. According to Saudi Press Agency, Alshathri took part in a session titled 'Antimonopoly Regulation and Intellectual Property: Rethinking Approaches in the Digital Age.' The session explored the role of competition policies amidst the rapid digital transformation. It addressed enhancing market efficiency and enabling a balanced economic environment while also discussing various topics related to competition legislation and its application in digital markets. The participation is part of the authority's ongoing efforts to bolster the Kingdom's presence in international forums. These efforts aim to exchange expertise with leading entities, contributing to the development of relevant policies and supporting a fair and effective competitive environment, aligning wit h Saudi Vision 2030.
