Hajj Ministry Reports 11.7 Million Umrah Performers in Rabi Al-Thani 1447 AH

Mecca: The Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, in cooperation with the General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque, announced that over 11.7 million people performed Umrah during Rabi Al-Thani 1447 AH, reflecting a growing trend supported by the enhanced services and facilities provided to worshippers.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the statistics indicate that more than 1.5 million Umrah performers arrived from abroad, representing countries from around the globe. This underscores the positive impact of digital tools and integrated logistical services, which have made it easier for Umrah performers to travel and perform their rituals with comfort and peace of mind.

This increase in the number of Umrah performers is part of the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to enhance the Hajj, Umrah, and visitation ecosystem in line with the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030. These efforts aim to facilitate access for Muslims globally to the two holy mosques and to provide a comprehensive spiritual experience that prioritizes the comfort and safety of Umrah performers from the moment they plan their trip until they leave the Kingdom.

The ministry and the authority are committed to implementing joint initiatives to improve the quality of services provided within the two holy mosques and throughout the various stages of the Umrah performers' journey. They are also focused on developing digital and operational systems to ensure a smoother and more reassuring experience for the worshipers.
