Riyadh: Health Minister Fahad AlJalajel met with Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev, alongside Minister of Health Eldor Adilov, at the beginning of his official visit to Uzbekistan. The meeting aimed to discuss strengthening health cooperation and advancing partnership between the two countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions focused on the strong relationship between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan and explored opportunities to expand cooperation in key areas. These areas include healthcare transformation, the medical and pharmaceutical industries, workforce development, and health sector investment.
AlJalajel and the Uzbek officials also reviewed the progress on the Fergana hospital project. This 800-bed, 10-floor facility is being developed with the involvement of the Saudi company Vision Invest, as part of an international consortium. This project highlights the growing health and investment partnership between Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan.
The visit emphasizes both countries' commitment to expanding collaboration in the health and investment sectors. This aligns with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to strengthen sustainable international partnerships.
