Riyadh: At the Hajj health and safety forum yesterday, Deputy Minister for Licensing and Compliance at the Ministry of Health Eng. Abdullah Alnuaim discussed the role of oversight, licensing, and compliance in enhancing health preparedness during the Hajj season. According to Saudi Press Agency, he emphasized implementing regulatory requirements, strengthening compliance levels, and improving the efficiency of facilities and services dedicated to serving pilgrims. He added that the ministry operates according to integrated oversight plans that include field inspections and continuous evaluation of health facilities, which contribute to enhancing the readiness of the health sector, improving performance efficiency, and ensuring adherence to approved health standards and requirements. He explained that integration between regulatory, health, and security authorities is one of the most important factors in the success of the Hajj season, through the exchange of information and the standardization of oversight procedures. He stated that the Ministry of Health continues to implement awareness and training programs for health facilities and their staff, noting that raising awareness of health requirements and regulations contributes to creating a safe, healthy environment for pilgrims.
