According to Saudi Press Agency, the district is located adjacent to Jabal Hira, which houses Hira Cave where revelation descended upon Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). The district includes a number of facilities, most notably the Holy Quran Museum. The museum offers content on the history of the compilation of the Holy Quran and its development across different eras.
