Iconic Muqana Bread Highlights Al-Baha’s Culinary Heritage at Security Oasis Exhibition

Al-baha: The Al-Baha Region pavilion is participating in the Security Oasis exhibition at the King Abdulaziz Camel Festival, showcasing one of the region's most iconic culinary treasures: Muqana bread, a dish that embodies generosity and warm hospitality, hallmarks of local culture.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Culinary Arts Commission selected Muqana bread as a signature dish of the region, highlighting its heritage and traditional significance. It is closely associated with social gatherings and acts of hospitality, reflecting the region's cultural values.

Made from whole wheat flour and baked on a griddle or hot stone, the bread is typically served with local ghee and honey or broth. Its rich flavor and authentic taste evoke memories of traditional homes and communal gatherings, offering visitors an authentic taste of Al-Baha's culinary heritage.
