Riyadh: Secretary-General of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) Major General Mohammed Al-Moghedi welcomed Emrullah Isler, the Ambassador of the Republic of Trkiye to the Kingdom, at the coalition's headquarters in Riyadh today. The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between the coalition and Trkiye in combatting terrorism and extremism.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions centered on exploring mutual interests and ways to bolster coordination to combat terrorism effectively. Major General Al-Moghedi provided an overview of the IMCTC's significant activities and strategic initiatives, which span four core domains: ideology, media, counter-terrorist financing, and military.
Both officials highlighted the importance of fortifying international efforts and building effective partnerships to dismantle terrorist organizations and obstruct their ideological and financial support networks. They praised the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, considering it a pivotal advancement in reinforcing cooperation and unity, thereby enhancing security and stability.
During his visit, Ambassador Isler was given a tour of the IMCTC headquarters, where he learned about the coalition's operational mechanisms and the methodology employed to develop and execute programs and initiatives across member states.
