IMCTC Secretary General Engages with Sierra Leonean Leaders to Boost Security Cooperation

Sakaka: The Secretary General of the Islamic Military Counter-Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), Major General Pilot Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, met with key members of Sierra Leone's Security Council Committee in Freetown. The meeting was chaired by Sierra Leonean Minister of Internal Affairs Morie Lengor and included several other officials. According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions focused on the latest security developments in Sierra Leone. The parties reviewed the challenges posed by terrorism and transnational organized crime and explored mechanisms to enhance coordination between security and military agencies. The aim is to strengthen their technical and operational capabilities to achieve high levels of efficiency and responsiveness. Major General Pilot Al-Moghedi reiterated the IMCTC's commitment to supporting its member states through specialized programs and initiatives. These efforts focus on four key areas: ideological, media, counter-terrorism financing, and military domains. Members of the Sierra Leonean committee expressed their appreciation for the IMCTC's support. They emphasized the importance of continued cooperation and coordination to enhance national security and build the capacity of the country's military and security personnel. This visit is part of the preparations for the launch of the 'Competence' initiative on Tuesday. The initiative is a strategic military program aimed at developing human and military capacities for counter-terrorism operations. It seeks to enhance professionalism in addressing security challenges through advanced training, qualification programs, and effective partnerships with national agencies.
