Riyadh: The Al Madinah Region Development Authority has launched an international design ideas competition for the Jabal Umm Nuthaylah site, offering prizes totaling more than SAR1.6 million to attract innovative design concepts aimed at transforming the site into a sustainable cultural and tourism destination.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority stated that the competition is open to designers, studios, and multidisciplinary design teams from around the world. Participants are invited to submit creative visions for the site's development, focusing on designs that reflect the site's natural and environmental characteristics. The proposals should draw inspiration from the volcanic landscape, preserve its geological identity, and highlight the site's geological and cultural significance.
