International Dates Council Plans Regional Workshop in Cairo on Date Sector

Riyadh: The International Dates Council, in collaboration with Egypt's Agricultural Research Center at the Ministry of Agriculture and Land Reclamation, is set to organize a regional workshop focusing on the date sector. This event, scheduled to take place from August 16 to 18, aims to address the impact of geopolitical and environmental developments on the sector.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the workshop will gather experts from the date sector, agricultural economists, and specialists in marketing, quality, and food safety. Representatives from various Arab countries will also be in attendance to discuss current developments and share knowledge on challenges related to trade, production, and supply chains.

The initiative is part of the council's ongoing efforts to collect specialized expertise and promote the exchange of experiences among countries engaged in the date sector. It aims to provide a platform for dialogue on key issues affecting trade, production, marketing, supply chains, quality, and food safety.

By facilitating these discussions, the workshop seeks to develop practical recommendations to tackle the sector's most significant challenges and propose future solutions.
