Riyadh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the General Secretariat of the King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran, has awarded financial prizes to participants in the competition's 46th edition. Each participant received SAR5,000, with the total awards surpassing SAR1.5 million. This initiative aims to recognize the participants' eaforts and encourage their continued dedication to the Holy Quran.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the 46th edition of the competition featured 334 male and female contestants from 133 countries, competing in five Quranic categories. The total prize pool for the 50 winners amounted to SAR10,260,000.
The awards reflect the ministry's commitment to supporting Quranic competitions and providing comprehensive assistance to participants. This support extends from their arrival in the Kingdom through the various competition stages and accompanying programs. It underscores the Kingdom's dedication to serving the Holy Quran.
