Pristina: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the religious attach© at the Saudi Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in cooperation with the Islamic Sheikhdom in the Republic of Kosovo, concluded yesterday the first edition of the local Quran competition for boys and girls, with the participation of 100 contestants.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the closing ceremony was held at the Faculty of Islamic Studies in Pristina and was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Albania Faisal Hifzi, along with several other officials. The event marked the culmination of a successful initiative aimed at engaging youth in the memorization and reflection of the Holy Quran.
During the ceremony, winners in three categories-memorization of 10 parts, five parts, and two parts of the Quran-were honored with prizes, gifts, and commemorative shields. This recognition not only celebrated their achievements but also aimed to inspire other young individuals to participate in similar religious and educational activities.
The competition underscores the ministry's ongoing commitment to enhancing the global presence of Quranic programs. It also serves to encourage youth to internalize and reflect on the teachings of the Holy Quran while promoting the values of moderation and balance within the community.
