Islamic Affairs Ministry Implements Iftar, Date Distribution Programs in Cambodia

Phnom Penh: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance carried out the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' programs for distributing dates and providing iftar meals in Cambodia on the 25th of Ramadan 1446 AH at Al-Serkal Mosque in Phnom Penh.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the event was attended by Saudi Ambassador to Cambodia Mohammed Ismail Dahlawi, along with Senior Minister in charge of Special Mission Osman Hassan and several officials and Islamic figures. As part of the initiative, five tons of dates were distributed, benefiting around 22,000 people.

Ambassador Dahlawi emphasized that these programs, implemented in Cambodia and other countries worldwide, reflect Saudi Arabia's commitment to humanitarian efforts and its deep connection with Muslim communities across the globe. He highlighted that the initiatives strengthen bonds of brotherhood and solidarity, especially during the holy month of Ramadan.

Hassan expressed his gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and HRH the Crown Prince for their continuous support of Muslims worldwide. He also praised Saudi Arabia's ongoing initiatives, including the Hajj and Umrah programs under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' Guests Program and other charitable efforts aimed at assisting Muslim communities in various fields.

The Ministry of Islamic Affairs continues to implement these programs in multiple countries, reaffirming Saudi Arabia's role in fostering unity and goodwill among Muslims worldwide.
