Islamic Affairs Ministry Launches Dates Distribution Program in Cyprus, Myanmar

Makkah: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance commenced the implementation of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques' dates distribution program in the Republic of Cyprus during a ceremony on Wednesday in the presence of Saudi Ambassador to Cyprus Fawaz Al-Shabili. Three tons of premium Saudi dates were allocated, benefiting approximately 12,000 recipients.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Ambassador Al-Shabili affirmed that the program reflects Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud's commitment to supporting charitable work and promoting the values of generosity and benevolence. He noted that such initiatives reflect the Kingdom's dedication to spreading Islamic values, strengthening humanitarian efforts, and fostering bonds of friendship with peoples around the world.

In Myanmar, the ministry launched the program on Monday at the Saudi embassy in the presence of Saudi Ambassador Mazyad Al-Huwaishan, along with several officials and representatives of Islamic organizations. Three tons of dates were allocated to benefit 12,000 recipients across various parts of the country in response to the needs of Muslims during the holy month.
