Islamic Affairs Ministry Steps Up Pilgrim Awareness with 22 Million Text Messages, 582,000 Calls

Makkah: The Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, represented by the General Secretariat for Islamic Awareness in Hajj, Umrah and Visit, continues intensive awareness and guidance programs for pilgrims during the 1447 AH Hajj season.

According to Saudi Press Agency, more than 1,822 preachers have been actively involved in implementing dawah and awareness programs across pilgrims' camps and mosques in Makkah, Arafat, and Muzdalifah. These efforts have included over 120,168 dawah and awareness activities. In addition, electronic screens have been utilized to broadcast more than 4,360,800 multilingual awareness messages, which focus on Hajj rituals and guidance.

The ministry has also sent more than 22 million text messages to pilgrims' phones in the holy sites, providing critical information on Hajj rulings and instructions. A unified toll-free hotline has received more than 582,108 calls, addressed by a dedicated team of over 230 preachers and 30 translators in more than 14 languages.

Moreover, the ministry continues to offer visual communication services for religious guidance in over 40 languages. This initiative aims to ensure that pilgrims can access the necessary information to perform their rituals smoothly.

The ministry has affirmed its commitment to continue offering dawah and guidance services in the holy sites until the end of the Hajj season, thereby enabling pilgrims to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.
