Islamic Development Bank President Engages with Syrian Finance Minister on Reconstruction Efforts

Washington: President of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Dr. Muhammad Al Jasser met with Minister of Finance of the Syrian Arab Republic Mohammad Yisr Barnieh on the sidelines of the 2025 Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington. Discussions between the two leaders centered on the prospects for future cooperation between the IsDB Group and Syria, particularly focusing on reconstruction, economic and social development, and sustainable growth.
