Dhahran: Films produced by the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) have screened at 154 international film festivals, highlighting creative Saudi storytelling presented through a contemporary visual language.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the films include 123 works inspired by Saudi culture across fiction, documentary, and virtual reality genres. They were presented at leading festivals across the global cinematic landscape and have collectively won 60 international awards in 33 countries, reflecting the growing global reach of Saudi cinema.
The achievements reflect Ithra's ongoing efforts to support the film sector. Ithra has launched several initiatives aimed at nurturing local talent and strengthening cinematic content, including the Ithra Film Fund, Ithra Content Initiative, and Creative Solutions program.
As a cultural destination, Ithra aims to develop the Kingdom's cultural landscape across various disciplines, including cinema. It provides filmmakers with access to world-class facilities, resources, and mentorship programs, helping them refine their skills and reach international platforms.
