Jazan: Jazan Region Governor Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Mohammed bin Abdulaziz has taken a significant step toward wildlife conservation by releasing Farasan gazelles into the Farasan Islands Protected Area. He was accompanied by National Center for Wildlife CEO Mohammed Qurban during this initiative.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the governor's visit included a briefing on the reserve's wildlife development programs, efforts to preserve ecosystems and biodiversity, and its abundant natural and marine resources. Specialists from the National Center for Wildlife detailed ongoing initiatives aimed at conserving the islands' biodiversity and enhancing their natural habitats.
The governor expressed his appreciation for the leadership's support of the environmental sector and commended the National Center for Wildlife's contributions to national integration. This initiative aligns with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, which seeks to protect the Farasan Islands, recognized as one of the Kingdom's richest areas in marine and terrestrial biodiversity.
